Selling with Lymington Auctions

Selling through Lymington Auctions is straightforward, transparent and designed to achieve the best possible results for your items. From valuation and cataloguing through to marketing and payment, our experienced team manages every stage of the process on your behalf.

Seller's Charges

Our standard selling charges are as follows:

  • Vendor's Commission: 15%
  • Insurance Fee: 1% (covering loss and accidental damage while your items are in our care)
  • Cataloguing & Marketing Fee: £5 per lot

The cataloguing fee includes professional photography, detailed descriptions, online marketing and inclusion in our printed and online auction catalogue. This charge applies to both sold and unsold lots.

All charges are subject to VAT.

For significant collections, estates and high-value individual items, we are pleased to offer competitive, negotiated commission rates. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Withdrawal Charges

If you decide to withdraw a lot after it has been catalogued but before the auction, a withdrawal fee will apply to cover the work already undertaken.

The fee is:

  • 10% of the lower auction estimate (or reserve price where applicable)
  • Plus £5 per lot

All withdrawal charges are subject to VAT.
